After looking through the analysis of both pieces, I hope visitors to this website will have a deeper understanding of the elements that tie Renaissance musc and Korean Pop together. Although the are 600 years apart and one was developed in Europe and the other in South Korea, they both share some definite similar characteristics. Both styles use contrasting textures and harmonies to create masterfully fabricated music. Even though declamation may not have the same connotations as it did in Renaissance times, Korean rap is certainly analogous to it. They both use canons to create a suspense effect in the music as well.
The next question to ask is why these styles of music, which had virtually no contact, share so many common musical elements. Could this be indicative of a universal human nature? Or is it testament to the truth that music has the power to transcend language, distance, and time?

"I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone love music." ~ Billy Joel
